So How Do You Get Your Mount?
You can get a mount when you reach level 35 and it will cost you 4 Gold 220 Silver which to people who do not have a copy of our Ultimate Lotro Gold Guide is a fair amount of Gold, I would recommend you start saving when you get to level 25 and only spend your money when it is vital or you can get our Lotro Gold Guide and make the cost of your mount in one day.
When buying your mount make sure you get the right one for your race, Hobbits and Dwarfs ride ponies and humans and elves ride horse’s you will be able to buy a pony as a human or elf but you will find that you can not ride it. There are four different types for you to choose between these are chestnut, blonde, bay and blood bay and once you have bought your horse it is bound to you.
When you get to level 35 your will need to head over to Eogar at Hengstacer Farms which is north of Bree now you will have to complete 4 quests before you can purchase your mount.
There are:
Fresh Steed For Bree
Ride a blonde horse or pony to the stable master in the west of bree and replenish his supply.
you will be rewarded 7 Silver 84 Copper when you return to Eogar.
Fresh Steed For Michael Delving
This is a timed delivery so you need to get moving fast to make sure you make it, this time you need to go to the stable master in Michael Delving in the southwest of the shire
once again when you return to Eogar you will be rewarded this time you should receive 19 Silver 60 Copper
Fresh Steed For Othirakar
This is the last delivery quest for you and it requires you riding to the dwarf town of Othirakar, you need to go to the stable master in the north of the north downs.
You will receive another 19 Silver and 60 Copper when you return to Eogar
Proving Your Quality
This may take you a few tries since it can be quite difficult, Basically you need to ride though 12 gates within time limit remember to cut as many corners as possible you can go though water providing its not super deep also you can use the space bar to jump over hedges and fences.
Once you complete this race you will get a new trait called “Riding” now all you need to do is go back to Eogar and purchase your mount.
